What's it all about?

The Drysdale Harvest Basket has been meeting on the first Saturday of each month since October 2009 at the SpringDale Hall. Members bring along their excess home-grown or home-made produce, put it baskets with similar produce and take whatever they think is a fair exchange. It works on a honour system so no money or direct bartering is involved. Produce is available for sale " by donation" to the general public after 10.30am. and any leftover produce is then donated to the local food bank or men's kitchen. The group also conducts workshops and garden tours focused on edible gardening.
